this week has been a real pain in the ass for me. i don't even remember how to study anymore. went to help outon moneday with the IP SYF. fell sick on tuesday and came back on wednesday to help with the baller SYF. i think i'm still sick. and spreading my virus around. and today was a half day. lol. there goes my studying.

and i've got my new specs! woot. i'm such a nerd.

the point is. the SYF results. we've got a silver the the IPs and a gold for the Ballet. i can sy that i'm pretty happy with the results. i was really worried there that the judges wouldn't like the ballet cos the choreo was so technical and we were the only school who actually did a traditional dance. but gold was good enough.

honestly i think that this year's SYF was screwed up. NJ has been denied wat we should receieve for the most ridiculous reasons. except for indian dance. everyone could see that indian dance really got what they deserved.

however the other dances... just because the standard is higher this year does it mean that the dances which deserved the highest shouldn't be recognised with such a title because everyone happened to be so good?

and the feedback given was pfffft!

i'm not talking about western dance of course. although i admit i'm too shallow to see why such a dance as the XXX school has performed deserved a GWH.

the point is how could they deny NJ chinese dance and malay dance a GWH based on "their ribbons weren't bright enough" and "it was too contemporary" when it was a CONTEMPORARY categeory? and what about the other schools? one school had a girl who FELL during their dance performance which was if you asked me "too contemp." for their categeory as well. FELL. ONTO HER ASS. and they receieved a GWH.

bleah i'm just bitching. anyways. back to WD

i'm really proud of everyone. especially the IPs. they learned this dance in what? 6 months? and most of them were NON-DANCERS in a CONTEMP dance. a silver. i'd say it's bloody good. screw those who said that we stole their music. what like we'd like to perform to the same music as you? i'm sure that'll make SYF SO much easier. (sarcasm) to the girl who was bitching about this: we're obviously better than you. we did it in a shorter period of time. with non-dancers.
